DM,
I am curious, is there a "best" way to lock in the host/port that a user can connect to off the IRC menu. I plan on setting up the irc.synchro.net and joining the network eventually. I was wondering what the best way to customize the chat section menu so it doesn't prompt the user for input and only connects to the irc.synchro.net network?
The default behavior of chat_sec.js is to only allow sysops and C-exempt users to change the IRC server to connect to.

Awesome! So, I'm a victim of my own security level. =)
This is another reminder as to why it's important to test menus both as yourself and as a regular user with whatever default permissions you give them. It makes sure you know what they're likely to see.

Agreed
Not a bad idea to test as Guest as well, if you have a Guest account.
