Everyone,
Thanks for all your help, I'm running the latest SyncTerm and basically I'm still able to consistently reproduce the problem. The issue also exists in NetRunner too. Essentially, if the status bar is active in SyncTerm the game ignores critical pauses. If I boost the screen mode to 80x28 or higher, the problem doesn't occur. I believe the game pauses literally on the last row on 80x25 and they are ignored in most clients at that resolution that have a usable screen of 80x24.
Again, if I set a screen mode higher than 80x25 with or without the status bar in SyncTerm the game plays great. If I set 80x25, I have to turn off the status bar, otherwise the game skips critical pauses.
Can anyone else reproduce this?
Just to be sure, does the problem happen when use SSH or RLogin (instead of Telnet)?

Yes, the problem consistently happens regardless of protocol used to connect. I've tested Telnet, RLogin, and SSH with SyncTerm. All exhibit the same issue if the connected screen size is 80x25.
I think you mean to say if the scren size is 80x25 with a status line (so actually, 80x24)?I did. It was a typo.
