While using syncterm I noticed references to ansi music. Are there any boards with it enabled? I'm sure the sound isn't too awesome but I'm curious.
It depends on the software that has it. GT Power decodes the ANSI
commands, and you can hear it over the PC speaker. Originally for
dial-up, it's now telnet capable, and free for non-commercial use.
Had it also had email, FTP, and a website, I probably would've gone
with it instead...as I ran it under dial-up for 13 years.
I do have one of the doors that ran under GT Power, now running under Synchronet, because of Synchronet's feature that will allow non-fossil
doors to run under telnet. I haven't tried to see if that ANSI door
will work. The door was originally designed to benefit the Make A Kid
Smile Foundation.
