I'm going to try on my home BBS, Digital Distortion. Uploading the file it halts at 7% for a long time, then slows to a trickle.
I can let it sit, but I don't want to waste my bbs time. So I'll escape out

Everything seems to be a pain but here's the kicker: the solution's usually really simple and obvious.
So I'm learning.

what version of syncterm? this could be a deuce thing to look into... perhaps raise a bug over on the syncterm rep site? or add some data to
an existing one?

You're so funny DM. I use Y-Modem G on ftelnet with Vertrauen BBS.
Re: Uploading
By: The Millionaire to Digital Man on Sun May 31 2020 12:57 pm
And how was I supposed to have guessed that? Anyway, YMODEM-G is a non-error-correcting protocol, so any single error stops the transfer. If fTelnet is having problems uploading large files to Vertrauen, then that's most likely a problem with fTelnet.

Indeed. A quick googling reveals this was all discussed with The Millionaire last summer.
Guys, I'm beginning to kinda sorta maybe sort of kind of think that perhaps we're almost wasting our time answering this dude's questions ... but I'm not sure.

Hi Dm. Have you found a way yet to be able to upload files to a bbs without FTP on an IPad?

Because I don't have a particular interest in that problem and have been busy doing things that benefit more sysops and users of Synchronet.

Hi DM. Will there ever be a Synchronet Cloud System added to the BBS one day? That might benefit for storage reasons.
