When I tried to edit text.dat using ;edit it gave me an out of memory error. Why is this?

Maybe you're using an external editor that can't load large files into memory?

It loads into fseditor.js by default.
When I tried to edit text.dat using ;edit it gave me an out of memory error. Why is this?

I guess it doesn't like the text.dat file then. I honestly would not expect that to work very well, even if you could load it.

I use nano on my telnet session and load whitout problems.
you must use a external editor.
