So, I decided to give Battlestar Galactica (1978) a shot after finishing Voyager. I'm two episodes into the first season and so far I like it!
Right now I'm watching Miami Vice. The aesthetic is every bit as great as I remember, but some of the acting is...not great.

Heh. Yeah, I don't know if I can go that far back and still enjoy it. Televisi
in the 70s and early 80s (particulary where the target demographic was expect

This is the next series I want to watch. One thing I enjoy about old TV
shows are the longer camera shots (not sure if it's the right
expression). Modern TV shows make me dizzy.
As far as The Six Million Dollar Man goes, I enjoyed it, but I have to
say if you're a little OCD like me, the continuity issues may drive you bonkers.

Yeah, I meant that it's a little bit more watchable because it *wasn't* target
towards kids. Writers seemed to have had some contempt for kids or something,
nd really went overboard dumbing their scripts down back in the day. You can s
the stark difference between a show thought to be for adults versus one that s 'family oriented' when you compare Airwolf season one (which is a lot darker
to the subsequent seasons which shifted towards 'family friendly.'

I'm going back to Space:1999. Loved that show when it came out, wantedI had a little metal model of the Eagle from Space 1999 when I was very little that I absolutely cherished. I remember almost nothing about the show itself, though.

Yes, I agree. The A-Team is probably another good example. I would

Yep. The A-Team was THE number one show for me in late-elementary school / ear
-middle school. I've rewatched the pre-Frankie seasons a couple of times and c
still enjoy it for the nostalgia, but it requires a pretty heavy dose of susp
sion of disbelief.

One thing though, that woman with the kid has terrible parenting skills; she just lets him wander off with his creepy robot-dog.

You mean like this thread that is supposed to be about Battlestar Galactica? People changing the topic of a thread without having the
sense to change the subject line is what dives me bonkers. Seems like there is no such thing as Netetiquette anymore.

UFO, another Anderson production is on Filmrise, one of the free
streaming services. It was a sort of prequel to Space:1999.

I saw an old magazine ad that had Mr T and Boy George on it, seems
there was an episode where the singer featured in it.

Why did you stop?
It'd be stranger if you were a kid during that era and DIDN'T run in slow motion while making the noise. ;) My relationship with my first 'girlfriend' (in kindergarten) was based entirely on the fact that I
had a Bionic Man action figure and she had a Bionic Woman action
robbery that Boy George helps thwart, and though the country fans are initially sceptical about Boy George's looks, they warm up to the
music. Mr. T gives Boy George his stamp of approval and tells him that he's okay!
