In my last year of high school (1997-1998), I heard my school was teaching programming, and I wanted to start learning, so I took the class. I hoped they would be teaching programming with C or C++, but they were teaching BASIC..
In ~87 we got a mash of BASIC, something that they called pseudo code and a sniff of LOGO and PASCAL. All this was on Apple IIs, there was no real
PASCAL for the II line aside from USCD with its out operating system, which made it less than useful for general purposes.
Oh and I forgot, not that its programming, but a crash course in binary for some reason..
