• Parsing CALLER.DAT with python / mpy?

From nolageek@21:2/134 to All on Thu Feb 23 18:58:38 2023
I'd like to parse the CALLER.DAT file with python/MPY so I can write a last coller mod- but so far I can't find any examples other than a few that use mpl. Is there any documentation on doing so?

I dunno how much help this suggestion will be, but xqtr did write an MPY functions documentation... I think it can be found by searching 'xqtr mpy' and is in the fsxnet file area...

First of all, you don't need the caller.dat to make a last callers mod, you can use your own data file, that keeps record of who's login/logout. It's what i did in my lastcaller mods :)

I have some tutors here, to see how you can access mystic files with python in general, i am sure it will help you.

That's what I was planning on doing - it's what I ended up doing for synchronet for my caller mod. I was just checking to see if something already existed that I could use instead of re-inventing the wheel, as they say.

Oh, very nice! Thank you, I'm checking those out now
