I have been posting these only (for the most part) into the admin FSX_NET echomail area. They are mostly posts about welcoming new nodes/BBS and others being removed.

Whist I see some response to those I don't see a lot and I confess I worry that not all systems are hooked into the admin echo area and by virtue of that they don't see those notices about who is joining / departing.

I'm starting to think it may be best to resume x-posting those 'welcome' posts to this echomail area as well as FSX_NET to ensure more eyes on this info.

Thoughts?

Also, I did think about showing "who else sees this area" - I thought I did implement it - which I build from the SEEN-BY's. Its not perfect, because some messages arriving at clrghouz dont have all the seen-bys, but over time I should be able to build a mostly reliable view...

The next question is, do we read them? I'd have to admit I don't look at anything much except general, retro, and occasionally music...

I read them but I don't generally reply unless there is something I
need to reply to for some reason. I'm sure it may seem rude not to
welcome new sysops to the network so, new nodes, you're welcome. Thank
you for joining and keeping the network alive. I'm sure they know they
are welcome. 20 or so networks, dealing with user issues, coding for my
board, etc. Time is very limited, I have to pick and choose.

It's really nothing personal.
