I've been working on a fish pond that's been leaking and to be honest have not been as busy in the geek space as I have been but I think as move into winter here I'll get more active again :)
Interesting - did you lay down something to seal it and then spread heavy boulders and things along the bottom to keep it in place? A friend of mine's dad built a pond in his back yard when we were kids, he was
always out there messing with his pond and making his wife mad since he spent so much of his time there lol.
have been talked about here. A brief spurt now and then is better than nothing...

Haha! I'll see your housework, and raise you an entire Saturday's worth of yardwork! ;-)

That's something I'm not looking forward to as far as buying a
house again.. I'm glad I don't have to do that right now (I'm
living in an apartment). People talk about the "American dream"
as far as owning a house, but the yard work & such needed for a
house isn't really appealing. I wouldn't mind having a house
with a very small yard, or one that doesn't have any grass (and
maybe no trees), and perhaps is paved.

The repairs are a different issue. Luckily we have a contractor we
love, he was part of a team that did a kitchen remodel. We've used him
to remodel the deck area outside of my home office, do some tweaking to our family room, re-did a storage area and did some roof and siding repairs. It ain't cheap, but he's great at being thrifty where he can.
He re-used a lot of material to keep with the vintage of the house and keep us from having to spend more on new materials.
