I have the same feeling about housework :)
Haha! I'll see your housework, and raise you an entire Saturday's worth
of yardwork! ;-)
That's something I'm not looking forward to as far as buying a
house again.. I'm glad I don't have to do that right now (I'm
living in an apartment). People talk about the "American dream"
as far as owning a house, but the yard work & such needed for a
house isn't really appealing. I wouldn't mind having a house
with a very small yard, or one that doesn't have any grass (and
maybe no trees), and perhaps is paved.
Yeah, I hear ya on that. It can indeed be a pain, but mostly I actually
enjoy most of it. I guess especially in the springtime, when things are really starting to grow again. Getting the trees (palms and similar)
trimmed up and looking good makes the whole place look fresh and clean
again. Obviously grass mowing too, which I don't mind too much, and
usually a once-per-year pressure-washing of walkways, porch, driveway.
After a couple of months of this, the enjoyment level drops off quite a
bit, largely because of the heat/humidity through the summer here
(Florida). It's a real challenge to get the work done then (about every
10-14 days, sometimes more often). But anyway, it's something that we
deal with, and owning the home is a good thing, overall. :-)
... Potted meat: all the other stuff too vile for hot dogs.
