Family comes first. We've dealt with our share of issues over the last 5+ years.
We'll be thinking of you and sending best wishes your way.

Best of luck with the move, hope all goes well.

...I'm only four weeks behind, now. So I'm going to hope that she's settled in, and that things have gone as well as possible, given the inherent challenges.
Yes she's settled in but in declining health, just assessed as needing a higher level of care than when first admitted. It's the sad truth
there's only one pathway she's on, just not sure how long it is.
It's Christmas Day as I write and I was lucky enough to get a short FaceTime with her today which was nice. It's my Dad I kinda of feel more for as he's quite adrift and struggling a bit to cope. I'm calling him most days to offer a chat and moral support. I live 2 x air flights away from him so it's all I can really do at this stage.
I hope you and your family have a nice Christmas / New Year and thanks
for posting in fsx...
The InterBBS league will be shut down on Friday 11 June 2025... that's
two weeks from the date I write this. I think this should be enough notice.
2) Usenet Gateway. Ditto for this service (sorry). I am going to shutter this one also and close down my Usenet news server. The gateway will
also cease on Friday 11 June 2025 while the NNTP server will shutter at the end of July.
As I write this it's increasingly likely that I'll also have some fairly significant life changes of my own in the coming months and my family
may well be moving houses.
3) NET 1 + 4 HUBS my plan is to move to using an instance of Clrghouz to service these nodes. That change will take some more time for me to
Did you know on 8 November this year fsxNet will have been around for 10 years? That kind of does my head in :)
All of which to say is that I am not planning on leaving the scene or shuttering fsxNet any time soon.
Just wanted to share my condolences and thoughts/prayers to you and your family.
We all support you and your decisions. We appreciate all that you do for us!
I'm sorry for the lack of activity / service on my part over the last months. At times coming back and trying to do admin for a pile of
mounting emails etc. felt too much and my energy levels where just not there.

Life has been busy, I've been dealing with the loss of my mum who passed late last year and helping my dad with his efforts to de-clutter / prep
my childhood home for upcoming sale. That's involved a lot of air travel and time away from home/work to help out. All of which I have been happy to do but it's also zapped any other energy I have had for hobbies.
All the best to you, Avon, and hoping things will improve for you in due time!

+1 from me for all words above. Avon++
While we don't want fsxNet to go anywhere, don't stress too hard about life coming at you. We run what we love, while we can and you've built a
Nothing to be sorry about Paul!! If it weren't for your videos, I never would have gotten back into running a BBS, or picked Mystic as my main base!! Life comes before hobbies, and right now yours is hectic. So
don't sweat the little things!! If you need any help please just ask!
Like someone said, it takes a village to create a community!!
I am so sorry for your loss Paul. It's not an easy thing to go through.
So my sincerest condolences..
If you're an 'old timer' or just new to the network, thanks for your interest and involvement in it. It's great the between us all we're helping to keep the BBS scene / hobby etc. alive and well in 2025... who would have thought huh? :)
