hello everyone here on this bbs my name is martha or tawnyowl38 i hope everyone is feeling well and happy but if not then thats ok if you ever are feeling down im happy to help if you want? but anyway im here to make friends and have a good time i read a graphic novel called incredible doom and i loved it so i looked online to see if any bbs services were avaliable anymore and they were so i found this program and here i am im really new to all this stuff so if i do something wrong please tell me plus im not a tech expert so yea lol! so if you like my interests are helluva boss/hazbin hotel, onision, FOB, MCR, BVB, a bit of star trek (i havent seen all the episodes but im mainly watching thenext generation sry)

Yep, I think it's cool that BBSes are still around -- many accessible by Internet only these days as dial-up isn't that common any more.

The amount of work of setting up and maintaining one might have decreased in some ways, but the challenge of getting things running smoothly is still there, as is the challenge of getting new users.

Maybe it's less of a "competition" these days, as people get their files and lots of other stuff from the Internet, but there still is something special about BBSes...

I will have to check out that book. Out of curiosity which software did you find to use? Which BBSes have you visited?

Friday's theres a meet up online using the MRC Chat. Many of the BBSes have this there's bullitens for them on most places with the details. Come say hi to the rest of the community. We chat listen to old school mod music and check out ANSI art.
