  • Analogue Reel to Reel

    Oh hello :)

    Just spent some $$ on a studio grade analogue reel to reel, it's an Otari MX5050... been wanting one for a number of years. I used to use it when I worked in commercial radio.

    Got to drive 4.5 hours to go get it this weekend. May make a weekend of it and overnight then drive home the next day. Wish the fuel cost less. Hah.

    thanks, I'm not sure will drive 4.5 hours to collect it this weekend, it looks OK in the photo but you never know until you get to play with it.

    It's old studio gear I have used before and do know someone who will likely be able to service it if I really get stuck :)

    Yep! Fingers crossed that it'll be just as nice as in the photos then!

    I have the same deck. I only used it to digitally-restore some mult-track master tapes.
