EPOD - a service of USRA
The Earth Science Picture of the Day (EPOD) highlights the diverse processes and phenomena which shape our planet and our lives. EPOD will collect and archive photos, imagery, graphics, and artwork with short explanatory

Featured above is a 3-D view ( stereograph) of 2 and a half turns of
the DNA molecule. I put together this 3-D model from a
Cochranes of Oxford kit, and Dr. Brian May created the
stereograph – in mid-December of 2022. A DNA molecule consists of two
long polynucleotide strands or chains made up of four types of
nucleotide subunits. Each such molecule contains the biological
information responsible for making every species unique.
You can view the stereograph by:
    1. Using the Cross-Eyed method
    2. Using 3D prism glasses
    3. Using B rian May’s OWL Stereoscope
