Re: Relaying through Gmail -- suggestions?

So I've racked my brain on this for a few hours now, so until I go further here I am. Trying to relay SMTP through my gmail account. Created an app specific password and here's what I have in sbbs.ini for email specific to smtp: TLSSubmissionPort = 465
SMTPPort = 25
RelayServer = smtp.gmail.com
RelayPort 587
RelayUsername = ****@gmail.com
RelayPassword = **********
Options = ALLOW_POP3 | USE_SUBMISSION_PORT | TLS_SUBMISSION | TLS_POP3 | RELAY_TX
In the logs it's giving a 530 "5.7.0" error which per Google is "Must issue a STARTTLS command first". I've read that Sync does support STARTTLS, but what am I missing? Thanks --
Yes, Synchronet will issue a STARTTLS command when sending via SMTP.
You do appear to be lacking any of the RELAY_AUTH options, so that your mail won't be authenticating you with the server and that seems like a likely problem.
