Secondly, For some reason I can't my File Bases to see the "FILE_ID.DIZ" and Im stuck having to manually editing the descriptions.. is there an ea way of having these descriptions validated?
Synchronet comes pre-configured to import DIZ's automatically. But, you mus copy PKZIP.EXE and PKUNZIP.EXE into your SBBS\EXEC directory, or they must b in your path. Putting them in SBBS\EXEC is recommended.
Also, refer to the ADDFILES section of the sysop documentation if you've got lot of files ot upload.

Pistol Grip and myself like to jam something in the enter key to upload files to the database. If do this and there is no file_id.diz in the zip, or the file is not a ZIP fil then you will have the description as "No description given for this file.", which can be changed in the TEXT.DAT file.
