SpikeNet Protocol Update (Sorry for the last blank post)
From Deavmi@VERT/TECHQRY to All on Wed Nov 25 21:45:48 2015
1. User connects to TCP/IP port 1919 (SpikeNet Dial-In Server)
2. Sends his TCP server's IP and Port and username to the SpikeNet Dial-In Server
3. SpikeNet Dial-In Server sends a unique port back to the user (let's call the
unique port X) - HANDSHAKE
4. User connects to X and a socket link is created where we can send info back and forth
The user now has a "line" (port) to the server in which he can communicate.
The server will be running a client and server (server: running on port X) of which the user will send data to and receive data on his port. (This port will be sent to the server as Y and will be sent during the "handshake" process).
