I forgot to mention that you can check out the AI-WX weather door at firesidebbs.com telnet port 23231. Any feedback would be appreciated as I'm just trying to make something new and useful for our BBS hobby. ;)

P.S. If the radar says it doesn't detect any blips on the radar, then search another location that has precip in progress. You can search for weather anywhere on the planet.
Thanks folks,

Nice work! The radar animations are a really nice touch and, as far as I know, hasn't been done before. Nice seeing something like this available.

Actually they are very useful if you know what you're looking at and have
ever used a radar app before.
Actually I took your remarks to heart and created a Radar Legend at the top of the radar screen that denotes what each of the shaded colors mean on the radar animation. The colors are standard weather data colors, light green is light rain, dark green is heavy rain etc.
Thanks for the input.
Vince

It's there now if you want to check it out please. There is a Legend on both the radar and infrared cloud cover animations. I'm working on placing other cities surrounding the current location on the map in a dark shade of gray for reference. A little harder than it sounds...
