I'm not sure why this is such a problem for Mystic sysops, but it seems someone needs to write-up a FAQ or something for those sysops to know
how to set their side up correctly to post with taglines to QWK networks.

Fair point... I was going from what seems like the common post on your forum
that misses that one step... It's mearly setting each massage base to networked... strangely, it actually works if you have them set to local, which is the default in Mystic, and makes it a bit confusing. If that post mentioned this and had a link to the DOVE-Net.txt file... it would have gone a little smoother...
Sorry, for any undo stress... this seems to be an all too common occurrence...

The DOVE-Net.txt file I think you're referring to has been replaced by a wiki page: https://wiki.synchro.net/network:dove-net

No stress, just hoping we can get whatever instructions Mystic sysops
are using to add QWK networks (e.g. DOVE-Net) fixed-up.

Good to know... It would be good to reference that in the forum article as well...

Cool, hope this helps... It was actually a pretty good write-up overall... just needed a little tweaking...

Ah, that's just a post on the fsxNet Mystic conference. It's ephermal
and will eventually be purged. Hopefully someone has that (or similar) how-to hosted somewhere more permanently.

Yup. I might just add a page to wiki.synchro.net to capture that howto some place more persistent and updateable.

that's not a forum article. it's just our msg bases on the web.
I copied that message to: http://wiki.synchro.net/howto:dove-net-for-mystic
you should try something other than mystic. i don't know why people
run mystic. it's just a poor attempt at past bbses like iniquity
renegade and elebbs.

Some people just want a legacy-style BBS that doesn't necessarily have integrations to internet services like web, nntp or internet email.
It's not for me either, but I can see why someone would want that.

i don't get it.. mystic has a continuous chain from '97 through to now just like sync does..
it's not really 'emulating' anything.
