I seem to remember hearing Comcast has instituted data caps again. I'm still glad I moved away from Comcast.. And I've been using a fiber internet service for the past 5 years now, and I like the symmetric speeds. Same speed for both upload & download!

I'm glad I ditched Comcast and got fiber internet.
With Cumcast, I had internet and basic cable TV. Their basic cable TV was crap though - They had me using a cable box that outputted a standard-definition square picture. I realized I could get a decent
i'm in a major city and i cant get fiber. it's nuts, i should be able to. i guess it would take too much work to wire everything up.
when i check the att map for fiber it's very strange. i dont know why these remote areas isolated areas have it. in addition, they are spread far apart by several hundred miles. ---

Very small rural towns I've seen typically have to get satellite internet or something - but even in those areas, I could definitely see the benefit of fiber or something, which would be a great upgrade from something like satellite.

I have a cap of 1229 GB/month, with a grace period if I go over one
month. I should make sure and go over soon, I'm sure it'll go away eventually.
I go into my office once a week or so to maintain my servers. When I'm
there, I have a fiber and cable circuit, 300/300 each, so I batch up
all of my ISO downloads there.
I'm debating about setting up my local folders to sync to OneDrive, I
might bring my desktop into the office to do the first sync... :)

All I can get in my area is satellite, point to point wireless, and cellular broadband. ATT has a tower a quarter mile from my house, and tell me they dont cover my area regarding fixed wireless. WISPs in my area can't locate a tower

I have seen some people succeed by installing external booster
amplifiers for both cellular a well as wifi.
A family friend gets their internet via satellite, but they
installed external wifi extenders to feed a neighbor that is
nestled further back into the bush.
