I think he has a point though... I don't think we've actually had any relevant internet or computer discussion for a thousand posts. There's topic drift, and then there's this. This stuff belongs in the debate sub-forum, where we can have a good old argument with random internet people over things that don't matter or are irrelevant to ourselves.

I hate that I missed the beginning of neurallink, but now I have no idea what that thread is about - I feel like I'm missing everything. Lulz.

    Lulz.

I jumped in part way through, now I'm out of it again. I might check in again in a few weeks. Perhaps by then, by pure chance, it would be back on topic.

people can always move it to another sub and post something of substance in the thread instead of complaining.

dovenet has always played it loose with the conversations that drift.

Why can't you go back to the start of the thread and look them up?

Neuralink was initially about Elon Musk's upcoming brain to machine interface however over the span of around one thousand posts, the thread became about everything and nothing. It's one of the most epic topic drifts I've ever seen on the internet.

I only get about 441 msgs with the subj "Neuralink".

Yes.. there was some deviations from the actual stated subject
in the Subj. But then, it really just boils down to people
being lazy to change the text in the Subj when it is warranted.

There is nothing wrong with drift per se. But it would look
less of a "problem" as you cite if the Subj text would change
    accordingly. ;)
