Me, too - using a BRI line to run the BBS and connect to the internet
through work. It was my first time polling over the internet. I went
from 2-3 day (or more!) turnaround times on messages to same-day,
polling multiple times a day.

I was able to take inbound calls with it, got close to 56K connects
since my end was all digital.

I've tried with Cisco VOIP gateway as the carrier for the POTS line, but
the connection is unstable, if at all. And I'd like to have the option
of having the same dial-up experience we had back in the days, for the
ones that still have the opportunity to use POTS.

i had a pots line. only like 3 people used it in about 7 years. it was a waste of time and resources. so if you are doing it to play around, go ahead, but you won't get many people who would use it.

So I've been told, I've ordered BRA, so 2B+D, either one digital 128Kbps,
or 2 analog on the same dial-in number. It was supposed to be delivered
within 2-3 days, but it has been 2 weeks already, and they are still
struggling with last mile copper line.

But in Poland in the 1980s and early 1990s the waiting time for the plain analog line was sometimes years, so I'm being as patient as we were in the
era, and hoping for the best. ;)
