Carol,
Someone is creating fake accounts on your BBS(Ralph and Bullish) in order to slander me. I hope you will do the right thing and delete these accounts AND block the IP of the asshole that is doing this. I have ONE account and it is only on Vertrauen BBS. If this continues, I will be forced to investigate furthur and may include contacting ISP's of the offending parties.
Thanks!

it's okay when they do it with one :D not with a shitton though.
i'd like to see a prompt added to new users by default to update msg pointer
i do it on my bbs.

you would think the bbs would do it by default.
ah, new user, set pointers to current.
then they can back read manually.

Great idea - although sometimes an old message can rekindle a new thread.
Yeah, I don't see what's so bad about responding to old messages.
Sometimes people don't read messages for a while and then get back into it, and new users might not have even seen the messages at all. If someone has something to add, I don't see the harm in it, no matter how old the message is. Conversing in message boards is one of the fun parts of BBSing.

well, setting the msg pointers to a more reasonable date would make
it more convenient for the user.

He won't... Likely EVER. Better to ignore that one, he's about
as negative and idea quashing as they come online. Don't let him chase
you away, though; he's the only one I've seen like that.

I never found that option on the menu, so I did it the oldschool way, and just put the last message number in for each board...
