I'm looking at purchasing a tv sometime in the future. What's really out there as in the way of technology? Thanks.

Not out there, as I'm usually on the trailing edge, but I have a nice LG fla screen. It's got 2 HDMI, component video and cable outputs. HD ready. I plug it into my rooftop antenna and was able to get 83 HD channels!
I have a Comcast DVR and a last gen Apple TV. It's got Netflix, which rocks $7.99/month. I jailbroke it and run XMBC to watch movies stored on a Windows file share on my network.
I'm considering getting rid of cable TV and going with terrestrial HD TV, Netflix and XMBC.
